Title: Proposal for Leadership Garden City's Annual Leadership Program
Date: August 29, 2024
Introduction
Leadership Garden City is a 501(c) Non-Profit organization managed by a volunteer board. Leadership Garden City is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to manage and facilitate our Annual Leadership Program for a term consisting of three years with a budget revision done on an annual basis.

This program aims to empower local leaders through comprehensive training, networking, and development opportunities. The selected organization will be responsible for promoting the program, communicating with participants, facilitating sessions, and coordinating the logistics of all five class sessions, graduation and a two day/night trip training in Wichita to attend Kansas Leadership Center’s Your Leadership Edge Class.

  • Session One- One full day and one-half day

  • Session Two- One full day and one-half day

  • Session Three- One full day and one-half day

  •  Session Four- One Full day and one- half day

  • Session Five- One half day

  •  Graduation Ceremony- evening of session five

Scope of Work

  • Promotion of the Program:

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan that targets potential participants within the community.

  • Create promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, email newsletters) to disseminate information about the program.

  • Attend community events and network to raise awareness of the program.

Communication with Participants:

  • Establish a communication strategy to keep participants informed before, during, and after the program. Maintain and provide LGC Board with a contact listing for participants.

  • Set up a registration process and maintain communication with participants regarding session dates, materials, and expectations.

  • Provide ongoing support to participants, addressing questions or concerns promptly.

  • Prepare class materials for each participant.

Facilitation of Sessions:

  • Deliver engaging and relevant content for each of the six sessions.   Each session will also have a trained Leadership Garden City Facilitator/Board Member in attendance to co-facilitate sessions.

  • Utilize diverse training methods, including workshops, group discussions, and experiential learning, to cater to varying learning styles.

  • Coordinate graduation speaker and prepare graduation agenda.

Coordination of Logistics:

  • Manage all logistical aspects of the program, including venue selection, catering, and necessary materials.

  • Coordinate with local businesses or community leaders for collaborations, sponsorships, or resources.

  • Facilitate evaluations of each session and the overall program to gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Organizational Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing leadership development programs or similar initiatives.

  • A qualified team of individuals with experience in leadership training, adult learning principles, and community engagement.

  • Strong communication and marketing skills, with experience in outreach and community involvement.

  • Demonstrated success in program evaluation and continuous improvement practices.

  • Maintaining transparency in business practices, including clear reporting and documentation of all transactions and decisions that could affect the integrity of the project.

  • Organization must be located in or actively operating in Finney County.

Proposal Requirements

  • Interested organizations should submit a proposal that includes:

  • A brief overview of the organization, including history, mission, and relevant experience.

  • A detailed plan outlining how you will approach each aspect of the scope of work.

  • A list of team members who will be involved in the program, along with their qualifications.

  • A proposed budget, including total costs and a breakdown of expenses.

  • Two letters of support from partners on previous projects.


Timeline

  • RFP Release Date: August 0, 2024

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: October 15, 2024

  • Review Period: Interviews will be held during November 1-15, 2024

  • Announcement of Selected Organization: December 15, 2024

  • Program Start Date: Anticipated start date fall 2025 class


Budget

Please provide a comprehensive budget that includes:

  • Total costs for program facilitation

  • Itemized expenses (materials, marketing, etc.)
